Office Furniture Warehouse' GREEN Initiative

Office Furniture Warehouse has partnered with Take Root Chattanooga to make a financial donation to have a tree planted in our client’s name. Additionally, the company has partnered with Main Street Cleveland to make a donation for the enhancement and preservation of downtown Cleveland.

Office Furniture Warehouse has committed itself to a GREEN Initiative to reduce waste in landfills, reduce use of toxic materials and reduce use of raw materials and energy. Among our solutions:
Over 8 million tons of office furniture is disposed into the landfill each year.
  • Pre-owned furniture liquidation – We put back into use thousands of tons of used office furniture that would otherwise go into landfills when companies decide to replace furniture or downsize. If furniture can’t be resold, we help clients donate to one of 25 non-profits we support.
  • Pre-owned furniture sales – By offering clients a wide selection of good condition pre-owned furniture for purchase, we help reduce the energy and raw materials used in new furniture production.
  • Component Recycling – When furniture is not marketable, we work to identify components that can be sent to furniture recyclers who will re-condition it, or to scrap material salvage recyclers.
  • Upholstery Cleaning – Deep cleaning often can restore dirty panel systems or seating and keep them operational in the workplace. Our high-performance cleaning system specifically designed for upholstered panels and seating uses a non-toxic, neutral pH, water-based cleaner with no solvents.
  • Furniture Repair / Lock Repair – Chairs that won’t go up or down, missing chair arm caps, broken or missing locks – these and other problems often result in furniture being replaced. Office Furniture Warehouse, however, can take care of all of them efficiently and inexpensively, keeping your assets operational.
  • Furniture Refurbishment – Our experienced technicians can reupholster existing cubicle panels, overhead flipper doors and seating to bring new aesthetics and new life to soiled and dated products. We also provide wood furniture touch-up and painting of files, pedestals, overheads, and other metal products.
